Hope Street Real Estate Corporation is the fastest growing property management firm in Western Canada.  We currently manage a portfolio of over 1,400 rental properties for private landlords, and that portfolio is growing daily! Our stellar team and training program, our best-in-the-business web marketing, and our creative use of technology is what fuels that growth.

We can offer NO desk fees, and a $250 deal fee.

Our Leasing Agents make $300/ lease signed and commonly sign 5 – 10 leases per month on top of their sales activity.

Vendor / Service Provider/ Trades

Most of Hope Street's Property Maintenance is done by our Maintenance Managers... but they can't do everything. Sometimes we need the help of a specialist.

As a Residential Property Manager, Hope Street maintains a database of Preferred Vendors. We rank companies that we have done business with in the past, based on responsiveness, competitive pricing, and services offered. If you do good work for a good price, we'll likely call you back. Some providers are needed more often than others. We may already have a good relationship with someone in your field, however we do want to have more than one vendor per field, just in case.

Because we specialize in Residential Rentals, we are most in need of (in no particular order):

  • Plumbers
  • HVAC (Residential Furnace Repair and Maintenance)
  • Electricians
  • Flooring (Supply, Install, Repair)
  • Locksmiths
  • Appliance Repair
  • Roofing (Residential)
  • Landscaping Maintenance
  • Painting (Residential Interior and Exterior)
  • Gas Fireplace Repair
  • Cleaning (Carpet and General Move-Out Clean)
  • Trash Removal

Communication Advocate

THEY were wrong when they said you couldn’t use THAT degree to get a GREAT job.

We know that a degree doesn’t make you an expert in any particular field nor does it guarantee you a job.

But all is not lost. You’ve learned to work hard. You’ve learned to persevere. You’ve learned to communicate Resolved Problems in ways that are unique to you. And that’s exactly what we want you to do here.

We want you to use that unique and wonderful knowledge that you’ve acquired to create an unforgettable customer experience for our clients. As a Communication Advocate you’ll partner with property owners, their tenants, our maintenance team, and our vendors to communicate and create solutions. You’ll lead the communication process with your curiosity and advance the ball with your ability to understand and develop solutions. Altogether your interactions will develop solutions that build trust and protect and restore relationships.

With your help our team will win by communicating timely and accurate information to stakeholders.

We’ll train you in our award-winning systems that help us manage servers full of information. But we can’t stress enough: we need more than those systems can provide. We need talented people who can help us translate that information into action plans that produce real solutions for real people.

Your Day - to - Day

Your day-to-day will look like:

  • Triaging tenant concerns
  • Answering property owner questions.
  • Helping property owners make decisions concerning their properties.
  • Interacting with our team to develop solutions that make people’s lives better.
  • As a result of the above you’ll spend lots of time on the phone, emailing, and texting.
  • Enjoying your teammates. We really expect you to be a part of the group and invest in the people around you. This may look like joining our regular trips to the skating rink, candy store, park, and even one another’s homes. Some of us do wood working together, some of us play games, some of us go to the mountains. The key is we do it together.

Things you’ll learn

  • You’ll learn how to reframe tension into constructive action plans.
  • You’ll learn to live life as a victor instead of as a victim.
  • You’ll learn how to communicate to people other than professors.
  • You’ll learn the skills you’ll need to invest in real estate on your own including Accounting, Marketing, and even Maintenance. (You won’t have to actually do these tasks as a Communication Advocate, but we’d like you to learn as much as you can about the business.)


We believe in mentoring. You’ll be partnered with someone who will walk WITH you through every aspect of your job. We’ll help you set workplace and company goals. Your supervisor may even leave you a handwritten encouragement from time-to-time. In time we’ll want you to train others as you’ve been trained. Our motto is: “I’ll do, you watch. You do I’ll watch. You do and I’ll leave you to it.”

Pay / Advancement Opportunities

Our probation period (3 months) pays $17/hr. Inside of a year our Communication Advocates make between 45 - 60k depending on the workload they take on and the unique contributions they bring to the table. The more you invest, the more you’ll get out. Just like real life.
